Every since Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice was announced, many have wondered if Superman was getting shortchanged in his own sequel with the introduction of Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Lex Luthor, etc. The Man of Steel himself, Henry Cavill, talked about the DC sequel during a event for his latest movie, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and explained that Batman V Superman, isn’t a sequel to Man of Steel.
“I wouldn’t call this a Superman sequel. This is Batman versus Superman, so it’s a separate entity altogether. It’s introducing the Batman character, and expanding upon this universe, which was kicked off by Man of Steel. It’s an introduction to the [Batman] character, and ultimately an introduction to Justice League.”
Makes sense to me and I’m perfectly fine with that.
